Catch Up Day

Well the summer has flown by and we have had a whirl wind of events going on around here so I will try to stay in order and catch everyone up to date. We enjoyed our last trip to the beach with friends and FAMILY!! My brother, sister -in- law and three nephews decided to finally join us at the beach this summer and I have to admit these cousins got along great and had a blast! We spent a long weekend sun bathing on the beach, playing, eating lots of food of course, our last sea-cow meal of the summer- and even went back to Botany Bay for some adventures in sea shell sightings. Bert found ten sand dollars - so Carley was oh so excited- Sawyer found his first sharks tooth and I took a thousand pictures .......and did I mention it was baby Beau's first beach trip? I almost forgot to post about another first!! Remember me? Overparanoid, overprotective mother?? Well, the other half of my family Ralph, Chisholm and Nancy were at the beach that weekend too and Ralph had is hand made boat in the ocean- (hand made boat? can you believe it- I only got pictures with Amy's camera so hopefully she will throw some pictures up of this...) Anyways, here comes Chisholm down the beach behind the boat on a huge HOT DOG that seats five or so people. Carley is dying to ride- please mom? can I ride, please? I say no- absolutely not- not in the open ocean with all the sharks and sea creatures. So- she obeys (CRIES) and rides in the boat with Daddy and Ralph while Ayden, Andy, Latch and Sawyer go for a ride on the Hot Dog. Well, I see that they DO survive, none are eaten alive and I cave- that girl- I don't think she is afraid of much. She did so good- was ecstatic to ride the Hot Dog with the next group that went out- and she too made it back alive. I could breath. I did it- I mean she did it- we both survived. I do think that I got a gray hair over that one though. xoxo PS> Casen was so photogenic- I just could not resist following him around all weekend.
