The Jungle Book

Our five year old amazes me!!! Brief synopsis: One morning Carley, YaYa and I met for an impromptu Saturday morning breakfast- Carley's attire: funky of course (I would say a Punky Brewster sort of style and what is so sad is that some people have no idea who Punky Brewster is....sad THFG (Thank Heavens For Google) Anywho- after breakfast mom says- OH I meant to tell you that there are auditions today for The Jungle Book ages 5 and up- so of course C- yells "I want to go- I want to try out!!" we then go for an impromptu audition (dressed like a ragga muffin) and she has to learn a song- get on stage and sing with a group of other try out kids We were told we would be called back for the show if we made it You guessed it- she made the show which calls for pictures of course We went through 30 days of practice for three nights a week 2 hours each night- yowzers!! Then on to three shows in which she had a STELLAR performance. Carley was chosen to be a flower in the jungle which does not sound like much but trust me it WAS. She had to learn about 12 songs or more choreographed because guess what the jungle stays up there the ENTIRE time and remember she is five- I can only say again...... she amazes me!! This little singing, dancing flower made her mama so very proud. She had lots of friendly faces in the audience friends and family from all over who came to support her. We were over joyed with the love and support!! Thanks to all who came out!! We were also there to support a few friendly faces on stage: Ayden Lauren and Grace I must say ALL the kids had an outstanding performance- we enjoyed the opportunity and hope there are many more to come. oh and ps. There was no photography allowed during the show so most pictures are before and after and of dress rehersal.... poo on that rule but we do have the memories for a lifetime. xoxo
