Bert and I had a date night last week which was sweet in itself. We hardly ever take time to do anything with just adults and the time was much needed to ourselves. A vendor offered to take us to the place I had long awaited to eat: Ruth Chris!! I have to say that the anticipation of going was probably a little better than the food itself. Don't get me wrong- the food was outstanding but for the price I could endulge in a steak at Longhorn and be just as content. Lucky for us this trip did not come out of our pocket. (((Thanks Buddy!!)))
We started the course with calamari, fried oysters and crab stuffed mushrooms, I orderd a petite filet, with asparagus and creamed spinach and we finished with a warm apple tart and ice cream- I didn't even have the heart to post my sassy date night picture because you might have been to tempted to focus in on my double chin. Oh my!!
Well, as if I didn't get enough food to last me a week- I was counting the days until the new Chick-Fil-a opened up. So, I treated myself to breakfast the next morning and what do you know the chicken biscuit combo with tea was just as good as I had imagined. That Chick-Fil-a will always score a TEN in my book. Is it just me or does it seem like the people that work there come from a magical fairey land? Every Chick-Fil-a I go to the staff are just out of this world, ubber super nice- "Welcome to Chick-Fil-a- it is my pleasure to serve you- order when ready- that is a number one combo with a (large) sweet tea- please pull forward and I will be delighted to serve you at the first window" or if you go in to let the kidos play they always come to give sanitizer, wipe the tables, help with refills- I love these people!!! I declare!! Disney World and Chick-Fil-a are about the only place you find out of this world genuinly nice people these days- it does make me wonder?!? Where do these people come from? Do they ever have a bad day? Oh how I long to be one of those fairey's from smiley miley land.......
