My poor blog is long over due for an update and just itching for a new design. Oh how I wish I were blog savvy. Any suggestions?
Update 2010:
January- we celebrated New Years at Edisto with the Bonnett's
we wished me a happy birthday at the Great Wolfe Lodge
and ran in to our dear friends there- which made it much more awesome
5 stars on the GRL- if you get the chance or have the urge to go- GO my advise would be to look for the discounts though!!
1/27 Bert was diagnosed with oral squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue- if you want to follow that journey email me and I will provide you with the website which maps it out (bertchicarley@gmail.com)
February- Ventured out to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota
what a spectacular PLACE- my question to the cab driver- " so what is there in Minnesota"- his response "Mayo"..........the entire city is centered around the
Mayo Clinic --the experience was humbling
March- celebrated Carley's 6th birthday with a SLUMBERPARTY with many helping hands. My mom, Bert's mom and my friend Melanie pitched in to help in every way -we had so much fun with the girls. We picked them up from school- set out to McDonald's for a snack, headed to Claire's boutique for some shopping and makeovers, then home for the festivities..... scavenger hunt, cake, ice cream, cheese stick pizza, fruit bowl, fashion show with red carpet, karoke singing, movie watching popcorn popping, sleeping bag sleeping- these girls were so good and we all had such a blast
March 15th radiation and chemo began
April- celebrated Easter- He has RISEN indeed, clung to the word, took a quiet family of three trip to Isle of Palms to relieve anxiety and embrace each other with refreshing scenery, wrapping up the end of our journey with cancer and looking forward to the road to recovery as we continue to ........
