sweetness...

They danced the night away

one summer night in May

from tassels to sequins galore

the audience screamed for more

just as the sun shines down from above,

we settled in to see

" A CRAZY LITTLE THING CALLED LOVE"

BRAVO.. BRAVO..

side note: Carley rocked dress rehersal no fear-

Show Time was a different story

She went in behind the curtain and the family and I settled in our seats

I offered to help a dance mom usher her child backstage as a helping hand

but was not prepared to bump in to Carley: she was in a rage!!

Crying and could not catch her breath- saying over and over

I can't do it- I can't do it MOMMA I can't do it!!!!

I immediatly opted for help from a teen dancer to hide me from her and take her mind off of the show and try to calm her as this was our first experience with....... STAGE FRIGHT

I knew the longer she laid eyes on me the more she would try to wiggle her way out of dancing the mashed potato so I did what most moms would do- I RAN back to my seat as fast as I could leaving her to tend to her own fear and work it out on her own ?!?

O how I was so worried she would not even make it out on stage to dance- I was glad that her song was in the middle of the show so she had some time to GET IT TOGETHER... I prayed for her nerves and for the Holy Spirit to calm her fears that was the least I could do....

I informed the family that Carley may not be joining the dancers when it was her song but she managed to face her fear and ROCK her performance!! That-a-girl!!

Needless to say she did inform me that she was not interested in taking dance next year...

What? No tap shoes, no ballet whatever will I do with my money--
