2. If the pool is a nasty mess- and you need to scrub it from top to bottom but you broke the extension that reaches the bottom- and it is 60 degrees outside- you can put on your husband's duck hunting waders, enter the pool and realize that you can't feel your toes because apparently the waders SUCTION you to keep you waterproof- husband laughs and takes pictures- pool is still nasty mess- and if any one comes over to witness the madness they would have every right say..... 'you might be a redneck'
3. Serious stuff- if your school has abolished peanut butter due to all of the peanut allergies- they make a school safe soy butter- it is an alternative to peanut butter.... we made Halloween treats that required peanut butter in the recipe and we substituted with the soy butter instead- couldn't taste the difference...... good to know!!
4. Household cleaning products- if you are tired of buying the high priced cleaners.... I learned that vinegar works wonders- if you mix hot water and vinegar in spray bottle- it will clean your bathroom counter tops- spit shines the towel racks- and you don't even need "windowdex" as Carley would say- for the mirrors because you guessed it- it cleans those too!! It is also safe for your child to use if she/he likes to help mommy clean- and if you want to clean the tubs- just add a little baking soda for an abrasive to scrub- don't put the vinegar up just yet!! You can also add it to your laundry instead of clorox it brightens whites without the harsh ingredient of clorox..... NOT kidding!!
Do you have any tips you can share ?!?

Love the post!! Since John Paul is deathly allergic to all forms of nuts and peanut butter..it was a real blessing when Laurie found Sun Butter for the family to use! There is the Soy Butter too but Sun Butter is even better! It is hard to find around here though...but it is made from sunflower seeds. I have my vinegar spray bottle in my shower to use!
ReplyDeleteI would like to see said pictures of #2! You can't give us that visual and leave us hanging in blogland :) I ditto Rebecca on the Sunbutter... complete lifesaver and just as yummy as PB! I also use vinegar as my main cleaning component, but I had no idea about using it in place of clorox. How much do I use? Very proud of you for keeping up with your blog challenge! Love ya, JWC
