DAY 4: FAVORITE BOOK
I collect Little Golden Books for Carley- it all started when my mom handed me a small collection of what she had saved for us over the years. The Big Enough Helper was and is an all time favorite book of mine- one that my mom passed to me to share with Carley. I love to pull this book off of the shelf for a night time story- it reminds me of when my mom read it to me- and years later- I am reading it to my daughter.
I couldn't have just one favorite Little Golden Book- so Charlie tops the list of all time favorite books as well. He is an abandoned cat who finds a home in the country and loves to play Tiger in the grass- This book actually belonged to my brother but I snatched it in the give away mom had- you know when you finally leave home for good and your mom makes you take all your "junk" with you. One mans junk is another mans treasure !!
I love love love The Heart Mender- I read it over the summer and it was captivating. This book had me at "why was a picture of Hitler buried in my back yard?" It is a love story, a war story, a broken soul story and a reclaimed story all in one. A book well worth the read!!
What would you suggest that I read?
