Conversations With Carley: Things that make you go Hmmmmm...

1- We were all home one weekend and Carley was being a bit difficult choosing to make the wrong choices by disobeying. An opportunity arose to talk to her about being a Christian. Me: Carley do you know what a Christian is? C: Yes, it is a person that goes to church. Me: Well, kind of- not all Christians go to church and not all who go to church are Christians- Christians are set apart because they have asked Jesus Christ to come and live in their heart and forgive them of their sins Me: Carley- would you like to ask Jesus to come live in your heart? pause....pause....pause.... Carley: Well, I better not right now because I still have a lot of praying to do!! 2-Over the New Years holiday we decided to clean out closets, toys and what nots to donate to Habitat and Compassion in Action- Carley made a huge pile of things to donate- as I sorted through her items she was excited about the idea of giving. Me: Carley, Im so proud of you for sharing your toys to those who might not have anything. Carley: Mom, it feels so good it just makes my heart so happy .... few minutes pass Carley: MOM-DO YOU THINK THEY WILL PUT ME IN THE NEWSPAPER?!? 3-Carley: Mom. Did you have to drink water out of the sink back in the day? Me: What? Carley: you know, did you have to drink water that came out of the sink..... BACK IN THE DAY Me: I dont understand what you are asking Carley: I dont think you had water that came in the bottle .... BACK IN THE DAY.... Did you ? Me: Ha! You are right we had to drink water that came out of the sink- we did NOT have bottled water.... back then.... Carley: Ewwwwww! That is disgusting!!!! It's that time of year to sign up for T-BALL and Carley said she wanted to play- I dont know who will be more excited: her Daddy or her Ma'maw?!? Tball- 2008
