Hold the Phone

You know I have no idea what that means exactly- it is some sort of idiom: hold on and I'll google it. Wait one minute-dont rush in to anything- whoa-wait-look at this!! Okay good so all of these apply to this post!! This weekend I tried so hard to cling to 26 but I had to go and turn 33- really calendar really? Has it been 12,045 days since January of 1978?? My sweet mother in law hosted a birthday dinner for me Thursday night-Friday we had dinner with friends- Saturday one of my best friends and I shopped for eight hours- and let me tell you January is an aweful month to shop in- bathing suits are out which is just depressing in itself- and it turns out skinny jeans don't actually make you look skinny?? 8 hours of shopping and I only made one purchase: a blue sweater- I think I had a touch of the blues!! I returned home exhausted and worn down but this little girl is a great source for rechargable energy!! She and her daddy cleaned the entire house- prince charming washed my car- CLEANED it out-and washed all of the clothes- they ventured out themselves and did a little shopping!! When I was opening the present I told Carley it looked like a boot box- little did I know the fashion diva herself picked out THESE: CLICK HERE . I was so excited that they thought that much of me !! I admit I did have to call my bff to make sure I was not too Old to wear Uggs and she confirmed that I was not- so Carley decided that we needed to wear our matching boots to church the next day- and oh yea we went out to dinner- again!! Sunday was church-lunch-and a day of rest which consisted of me catching up on my DVR shows. Monday and Tuesday we got a little snow which meant no school no work- birthday wishes come true- and today while back at work- I got a nice surprise!! A package!! I dont know why but I love LOVE love packages!! They excite me- my dad used to mail my brother and I care packages- So for my brothers birthday I mailed him a package in December- with a note that said I remember how young you used to be- it was his old Incredible Hulk lunch box filled with Hot Tamales, Fire Balls, Lemon heads, slim jims and so forth- Today- he returned the favor with a few of my favorite things: skittles, potato sticks, salt and vinegar, WAR HEADS, sweet tarts, nerds and Lemon juice- I love IT!! I laughed so hard- you know it hurts to remember how young you used to be but you can marvel at how far you've come... "What we are is God's gift to us.
