Back 2 Back :National Champs

(Robert Beary: CWS Catcher)
Our eyes are heavy over here because we have been glued to the television watching every minute of the College World Series. We have watched inning after inning, we have had to rewind a few plays to watch over and over for some jaw dropping defensive plays by our very own 2 time National Champs. I love how Coach Ray Tanner is so calm during all the games. The camera zooms in on him and he is a pure example of the fruit of the spirit: kind, gentle, patient. The baseball players seemed to have no stress or pressure during the games the vibe given was a bunch of boys on a big fancy field playing the game they grew to love. And boy did they deliver the game of their lives. Did you see MVP Wingo throw from second base to home and without an ounce of thought Beary, catcher, threw to Walker, 1st baseman, for a double play? We watched that play oh I would say 101 times over and over... I love when a small town all comes together to celebrate the return of Champions - we have a parade tomorrow Main Street will be closed, the streets will be filled with fans and the Statehouse will fly the colors of Garnet and Black. Go Cocks !!!!
