NYE: country living edition
Carley and I woke up Saturday morning to just us- Daddy boy went hunting and was coming back to retrieve us at some point to ride four wheelers, but we didn't know when. So, we stayed in our PJ's and did what any girl would do- ate chocolate chip muffins and watched HGTV all morning. When we opted to move from the couch for potty breaks we paused the tele not to miss a beat.
Daddyboy finally arrived around lunch and was not pleased that we were not ready. We hustled.
If the truth be told, I was not all that excited about riding four-wheelers.
They scare me.
If you ask my honey or any of my bff's they will tell you.
EVERYTHING SCARES ME.
Here is some dialog of our trail ride:

Me: I thought we were just taking a little ride
PC: we are....through the woods
Me: How many acres do they have?
PC: 200
Me: Can you catch up to Carley because I cant see her
PC: She's fine
Me: Are you sure because I don't think she is wearing her goggles.
In my head: Maybe I should be quiet and enjoy the ride
Setting: the woods are getting thicker and the trails are getting smaller
Me: She really needs her goggles these branches can poke her eye out
Me screaming: Carley!!!! Carley!!!!
over the sound of many other four wheelers: we come to a slow
oh- we have to cross a fallen tree
PC: watch Carley she knows how to do this
Me: Carley!!!!!!! Carleeeeeeyy!! Put your goggles on!
Me: How does she know how to cross a tree? How far are we into the woods?
Did anyone bring a gun? What if we see a bear? Should I just be quiet? Am I talking to much?
PC: Yes!!
Me:In my head: I am really going to try to be quiet now and pretend like I can handle this-
what if she flips- what if she falls- what if her someone runs into the back of her-remember you are not suppose to think what if

Me: Do you think we are headed back now?
PC: Yes
Me: we turned because the sun is now in my eye and I cant see- can you see?
PC: Yes
Me: Do you think Carley can see?
PC: Yes
Me: OH we are almost back at the house because I remember that pond
we all stop
Me: Good job Carley!! You did GREAT!!
Me: In my head: Now let's never ever do that again!!

Have a family portrait taken
Hold, kiss and cuddle Carley for as long as she will let me
Watch her grow
