Conversations with Carley

Intro: Carley really likes Justin Bieber right now- I know I said the same thing- Who? Teen pop- self made you tube music star- how could she have heard him when I only listen to 89.7 WMHK (Christian) she tells me she knows him through Radio Disney- Ma'maw's car and the Disney Chanel of course- We went camping at the beach this weekend (post and pictures to come) and ALL of the boys have the "Justin Bieber haircut" Take 1- me: Carley, what would you do if you saw Justin Bieber? C: " S-C-R-E-A-M" Intro: My younger brother saved/captured (i haven't decided which of the two yet) a baby deer- his name is John- Carley and I went to visit John (deer) last night and the deer loves to suck on Carley's eye and ear---- ewwwww... Carley giggled, squirmed and shrieked with happiness Take 2- me: "Carley what on earth does it feel like when he is licking all over you like that?" C: in a sweet innocent giggly voice ..... "De-lightful!" Intro: It is VBS this week and Carley has been sailing the High Seas Take 3- Carley: excited voice "Mom, I painted the most beautiful lighthouse today me: "OH really- did you get to bring it home for me to see? Carley: "MOM- Duh!! It has to dry... Where did duh come from?!? Hello- who is this teenager trapped in my six year olds body? Last but not least- one of my favorites Carley's room is always a mess and she despises cleaning up her own mess me: "Carley I will not ask you again to clean up your room- when I come back whatever toys are left on the floor will be thrown in the trash"- minutes go by.. Carley comes out of her room to get me and let me know that she is finished cleaning... Carley: "mom, my room is clean now, and these are all the toys that you can throw away" Note: she picked up all of her valuable toys and left dozens on the floor for me to trash- and I did (well) they went to Compassion in Action- and she had no concern over the loss

  1. Love the new look! It's awesome.

I am sure these conversations are supposed to be humorous, but they frighten me. I feel like it's a glimpse into my future! Ha! What do you do with little girls???

  2. Loved reading about these conversations! I have to say when I was reading I asked the same questions you did - where is she getting this stuff from? I like to think that we were not so grown when we were six years old but my mother quickly informed me that I was just like that! LOL
