Thank God it's February!!
January seems to hold a black cloud over us- I don't know about you.
February means month of love-shortest month of the year so we can reach spring much faster.
We have had many highs and lows this week and I am not referring to the temperatures....
Low: my baby, my 11 year old cocker spaniel, went to heaven on Sunday it was a difficult day
we love and miss you Chloe Anabelle Walling
High: Carley's class celebrated their 100th day of school
I went to a pure genius for a great class treat idea- hop over to the Looper's if you want the recipe. We mixed our treats up a little chocolate verses vanilla but boy oh boy they were yummilicious....
Low: My dad is an alcoholic and I drove him to NC and dropped him off at a 90 day rehab program
High: My dad was willing to commit himself to a 90 day program
Low: Carley has been sick this week and missed 2 days of school
High: I have the best boss ever who allows us to bring our kids to work, and we even have an office dog named Max - who would think you could bring your child or dog to work?!?
One of my most thoughtful friends sent me a package actually three filled with all kinds of wonderfulness!!! She actually takes the time to make me things which just fills my soul and makes me miss her awesomeness greatly!!! One of the items was a handmade diary to jot down the highs and lows of the days..... I love it to pieces it makes me remember the little things in life. For instance, a sound I recalled was a woodpecker finding his morning breakfast at 6:45 am- a sight to recall was a school bus filled with small kids who were riding through the city downtown and their faces were in awe of the tall buildings their eyes were so big mouths made to smile and laugh and giggle.....their expressions were priceless and full of joy. I love the idea of writing the good things down because it reaffirms their goodness if that makes any sense.
And, just so you know....I have a mad blog crush on Today's Letters: I hope to one day actually meet Em and Tim- so I wanted to share them with you in case you have not checked out their blog. They posted one of their ReEngage talks online and it is better than great!!!
Love is in the air!!
xoxo
