A Summer Recipe

Can you even believe that Ice Cream is 4.99 these days. Well, I suppose not if you shop at Wal-Mart which I don't, simply because I am not a WM fan. And maybe if I were a coupon junkie - I could have gotten at least $1 off or buy one get one free... but in my coupon experience- I either cut the coupons and forget to use them at the grocery store or use the coupon for the wrong item so that I either a) have to give up my spot in line, go back down the aisles to search for what exactly matches my coupon or b) say never mind that coupon- I will pay the full price. Which you could probably guess that I would always opt for B.
Anywho.
I purchased some ice cream to serve at my Koinania (K) Group tonight. Once a month, five couples from our church get together for a Bible study. It is a time we set aside to study God's word and a time of prayer with wonderful friends. We rotate dessert each month and this month I volunteered, seems like it was my turn.
I opted for Frozen Butter Pecan Crunch- recipe to follow
Ingredients: 2 cups graham cracker crumbs 1/2 cup melted butter 2 package (3.4 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix 2 cups milk 1 quart butter pecan ice cream, softened slightly (or other similar ice cream) 8 ounces frozen whipped topping, thawed 2 Heath candy bars (1.4 oz. each), crushed Preparation:In a bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Pat graham cracker mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 9 X 13 inch baking pan; chill thoroughly in the freezer. In a large mixing bowl, beat pudding mixes and milk until well blended, about 1 minute. Fold in the softened ice cream and whipped topping; spoon over chilled crust. Sprinkle with crushed Heath bars. Freeze. Remove from freezer about 20 minutes before serving.
YUM!!!
Carley and I also made chocoate covered banana's for the kiddos to snack on. They looked pretty scrumptious as well!! I snagged an online photo just to tickle your tastebuds.
